About
Lou Power is a London-based ceramicist creating one-off, hand-built sculptural wall pieces and vessels. She graduated from Cardiff Art College nearly three decades ago and returned to clay in 2023, answering a long-standing call to the material.
Her work is considered and thoughtful, shaped by an interest in architecture, light, and space. Using a pared-back palette of whites, she often leaves areas unglazed, revealing the natural clay body.
Her pieces hold a sense of balance and stillness, inviting a slower way of looking - where form, surface, and space come into a subtle dialogue with one another.

Bespoke Ceramic Panels – Architect’s Home, London, 2025
I created two one-metre square ceramic panels for an architect’s home. Each tile is handmade, featuring either a relief shape or a bold pattern, and comes in one of two sizes to create depth and variation. The warm, liquorice-black glaze complements the wooden kitchen and grey concrete floors, adding warmth and tactile richness.
